What this is
Each connector in Go Fig has an MCP Access toggle. When it’s on, AI agents connected via MCP (Claude for Excel, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others) can access that specific connector’s data and, for connectors that support write-back, push changes back to the source system. MCP access is always opt-in per connector so you can enable it only for the integrations you want AI agents to touch.Connectors that support MCP writes
More write-capable integrations (Xero, NetSuite, and others) are on the roadmap. For read-only access, MCP works with every connector, and the toggle makes the connector’s tables queryable through AI agents.
Prerequisites
Before you can enable MCP access on a connector, the two org-level toggles must be on. See Enable MCP for your organization.Enable MCP access on a connector
1
Open the connector settings
Open the Data page, find the connector under Connections, click it, then open its Settings.
2
Toggle MCP Access on
In the connector settings, find the MCP Access toggle and turn it on.
Allow AI assistants to query this connector’s tables via the Go Fig MCP.
3
Save
Click Save. MCP access takes effect immediately, with no reconnect needed.
Turning off MCP Access on a connector immediately cuts off AI agent access to that connector’s data, without affecting your syncs, Flows, or Boards.
What agents can do once enabled
- Query this connector’s tables: schemas, samples, filtered queries
- Use this connector’s data in Flows and Boards created by AI agents
- Write back to the source system, only for connectors that support it (see table above)

Safety model
- Writes are always confirmed. AI agents preview every create/update/delete before posting.
- Full audit trail. Every MCP call, read or write, is logged with user, timestamp, connector, and result. Available in the organization’s permission audit log.
- Respects Go Fig permissions. MCP access inherits Data Roles, project access, and field restrictions from the calling user’s Go Fig account.
