Best Practices

Use a Clean Data Format: Keep one header row, avoid merged cells, and use consistent column types. Think “database table” rather than “formatted report.”
Freeze Your Header Row: In Google Sheets, freeze the header row (View → Freeze → 1 row) so it always stays at the top.
Use Data Validation: Apply data validation (Data → Data validation) to enforce consistent data entry (e.g., dates, dropdowns).
Avoid Formulas in Data Rows: Use formulas in a separate tab, then reference results in your data table for faster sync.

Best Practices

Use Tables: Format your data as an Excel Table (Insert → Table) for better structure and automatic range expansion.
Clean Header Row: Keep the first row as your header with clear column names. Avoid multi-row headers or merged cells.
Consistent Data Types: Keep each column’s data type consistent (all dates, all numbers, all text) for accurate schema detection.
Avoid Complex Formulas: Go Fig imports calculated values, not formulas. Use simple formulas for best sync performance.

Use Clean Data Format: Keep one header row, avoid merged cells, and use consistent column types. Think “database table” rather than “formatted report.”
Test With Sample Data: Create a copy of your spreadsheet with sample data to test the connector before connecting production data.
Regular Schema Reviews: Before adding or removing columns, review which workflows and dashboards use that data to avoid breaking changes.
